About Us
Islanders helping islanders
We are a community-powered organization committed to providing food assistance with dignity and compassion while working toward a hunger-free San Juan Island.
Our Mission
Nourishing our island community
The Friday Harbor Food Bank provides healthy, nutritious food and support to neighbors in need. Together, we can ensure that no one on our island goes hungry.
You’ll find us at 500 Market Street, across from Friday Harbor Marketplace. Neighbors shop our shelves in person, order online for pick-up, and in summer, families pick up meals through our Summer Nutrition Program.
Everything we do is powered by islanders — the volunteers who stock shelves and greet shoppers, the gardeners and farmers who share their harvest, and the donors whose every dollar stays on San Juan Island.
What We Believe
How we serve
Everyone is welcome
If you need food, come by. There are no income forms — just your name and the number of people in your household.
Dignity & privacy
Shoppers choose the groceries that work for their household, and personal information is never shared.
Healthy, fresh food
From pantry staples to eggs, milk and fresh produce from island gardens and farms, we focus on food that nourishes.
